Langmore Fees Course at Columbia University Medical Center
The Voice and Swallowing Institute will the hosting the renowned Susan Langmore FEES course on April 22 and 23. Dr. Susan Langmore developed the FEES procedure in 1988. She is a Professor of Otolaryngology at Boston University Medical Center and a Clinical Professor of Speech and Hearing Sciences at Boston University Sargent College.
This program, led by Dr. Langmore, provides an opportunity for clinicians to develop an understanding of the FEES procedure and to gain experience interpreting FEES for the evaluation and management of oropharyngeal dysphagia. It is primarily aimed at experienced clinicians who evaluate and treat patients with dysphagia using fluoroscopy, but have limited or no experience with FEES. However, clinicians who are new to dysphagia and clinicians with a moderate degree of experience with FEES may also find the course useful.
Site Directors of the program are Michael J. Pitman, MD Chief, Division of Laryngology, Columbia University Medical Center and Michelle S. Troche, PhD, CCC-SLP, Assistant Professor Teachers College, Columbia University Columbia University Medical Center.
